A Science Next Collaborative Technical Talk

The latest development in the field of Glycan analysis, presented by the Science Next Collaborative.

Dr Frank Michel, Analytical & Chromatography Technology Specialist, Sigma Aldrich, will discuss the characterisation of glycoproteins.

More and more antibodies are recently being utilised in the development of drugs. The efficacy, lifetime and immunogenicity of antibodies is typically impacted by glycosylation. Due to this, glycan analysis is of utmost importance in the development and QC of antibodies for medicinal use. This presentation will also explore the analysis of glycans after their cleavage from an antibody. Furthermore the improved performance of UHPLC-FL-MS after sample preparation using a dedicated SPE phase will be demonstrated.

When: 2 - 3pm, Tuesday 21 June 2016

Where: Bio21 Auditorium followed by afternoon tea in the Bio21 Atrium
