Bioinformatics
|
At the Bio21 Institute, bioinformatics is a significant support to our interdisciplinary research programs. It provides for the generation, interpretation, and commercial exploitation of information in the field of life sciences. Bioinformatics allows computational analysis of patterns and similarities in gene and protein sequences, molecular modelling of proteins and the integration of transcriptome, proteome and metabolome profiles. The Bio21 Institute's capability in bioinformatics is further enhanced by the opportunities provided by the wider Bio21 Cluster partners. Dr Vladimir Likic leads a bioinformatics research group at the Institute and may be available to offer advice in this field. |
